Come Sip with Cyril Brun Sr. Winemaker for Veuve Clicquot
Having been in the wine business numerous decades means that I’ve had the opportunity to make a few friends along the way. So, you never know who special just might pop in and pop a cork. Tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 12 is just one of those nearly impromptu occasions. Cyril Brun will join us and share some of his wonderful champagnes. I hope you can drop in between 3:30-5:00 for the event.
This Saturday’s Tasting will feature two old world and two new world wines. Come join us for this week’s pours, Saturday from 3:00-6:00.
Castano Cuvee C is a terrific inexpensive Spanish wine to enjoy with grilled meats. Produced from Monastrell, Mourvedre in France, it offers rich, black fruit for hearty cuisine.
Cacchiano Chianti Classico 2005 now has seven years of age and gives us classic Italian wine with complexity. Bolognese with pasta please.
Trefethen Chardonnay is rather unique, no new oak, just well tended Chardonnay vines.
Merry Edwards Pinot Noir Russian River 2008 is a very intense wine that is really showing well.
Hope to see you soon,
