I’ve always been impressed with Tim McNally. His insights on wine and food are especially interesting. Over the years, he’s done so much in support of our city through his leadership of NOWFE and a lot more. So, I appreciate his stopping in this week and interviewing me for The Wine Show with Tim McNally. It will air tomorrow at noon.
The conversation ranged from talking about my new discoveries – what’s hot, the tastings we host here on Saturday afternoons, our intense focus on price value ratio here – our effort to offer wines that over deliver on taste for the price. Did you know that 60% of the wines that we stock here are less than $25, most of which are under $20. Yes, we do carry exquisite high-end wines and optimum selections for cellaring.
We also delved into my love affair: my nearly life-long fascination with the wines of Burgundy, and what I’ve witnessed through travels over the years. Quite frankly, the region is undergoing a renaissance and the wines from there are more consistent and keep getting better. I’m heading to Burgundy in coming weeks and look forward to sharing with you my favorite finds.
So, if you’re curious, tune in to The Wine Show with Tim McNally. It airs Saturdays at 11:00-1:00 on WIST: 690 AM and 104.9 FM. Our interview will begin at noon – the start of his second hour. If you haven’t listened to Tim before, expect to find that not only is he a nice guy, he’s a phenomenal conversationalist. You’ll want to keep listening far past my interview.
Come see me soon. The store is well stocked with wines for your enjoyment.
