Free Tasting, Saturday, June 23rd

We hope you’ll join us this Saturday between 3 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. This complimentary tasting represents a diverse offering from different growing regions:

Wine Tasting Saturday, June 23

  • Chapoutier Crozes-Hermitage”Petite Ruche” Blanc 2010: 100% Marsanne from the Northern Rhone; a nice change from the norm, interesting and exciting
  • Twisted 2009: Produced by Neipoort family from Oporto, however this is not a sweet Port wine, it is produced from indigenous Portuguese grapes as a dinner wine; reminiscent of a Rhone wine, but very different at the same time; another nice departure from the norm
  • Einaudi Dolcetto di Dogliani 2010: one of the great Piedmont producers who is skilled at producing wine there other than Barolo; this is a serious Dolcetto, one that will make you think you are in Italy
  • Drouhin Cote de Beaune 2009: the appellation belies the quality here, this is actually declassified Premier Cru Beaune from younger vines, around 20 years old. This enables Drouhin to use only the older vines for the primary label; always a great hidden gem, but in 2009, a great find

Looking forward to seeing you,

Ric
